Barstool Sports had a growing online audience that engaged with their blog and large podcast network. They turned to Coast Digital to help formulate the growth strategy of how to turn their loyal fans into paying customers.

After analyzing the data, we noticed a significant amount of blog visitors had never been to the store. We utilized Google Search Ads to drive these blog readers into store traffic. We used Google Ads to tap into the purchase intent of Barstool's massive online following to drive store revenue.

Segmentation was key to the success of Facebook Ads. Barstool is made up of many sub-brands, each with its own unique audience. As a cost saving measure and to ensure users only saw relevant ads, we split campaigns by brand and targeted corresponding audiences. Timeliness was another key to the success of the Facebook account. Barstool is known for their quick response in producing merchandise when something viral happens. We constantly monitored social media in order to quickly launch Facebook Ads and capitalize on viral moments.

In order to grow Barstool's revenue and increae repeat purchase rate, we launched a best practice email program. We established lead gen best practices with new users, exit intenders, and out of stock scarcity. We established automation around all these email capture points and drove revenue by leveraging discounts and free shipping.
